Accuracy and reproducibility of results are of paramount importance in the determination of dietary fiber in feed for both producers and farmers. The FIWE Advance has been designed to provide complete automation of extraction steps such as digestion, washing and filtration, ensuring maximum repeatability for the determination of crude fibers using the Weende method and detergent fibers using the Van Soest method for NDF, ADF and ADL.

FIWE Advance saves you valuable time, reduces costs and improves productivity in your laboratory. The FIWE Advance requires only 2 minutes of operator time compared to more than 50 minutes/operator for a semi-automatic solution. You no longer need to pre-heat and pour chemicals into the columns, manage the correct boiling temperature or ensure that filtration is successful. With FIWE Advance, all these processes are automatic and thanks to the connection to the cloud, you are always up to date with instant notifications.

Compliance with official methods

The FIWE Advance provides accurate results that always comply with the official ISO and AOAC methods for both crude and detergent fibers. In addition, the FIWE Advance method with crucibles avoids fiber loss due to sample transfer as it remains in the crucible throughout the analysis process. In fact, the sample remains in the crucibles during extraction, digestion, washing and filtration, but also during weighing and finally during drying and ash determination, eliminating the risk of error.

The FIWE Advance makes fiber analysis easy and accessible for everyone in the lab. The 7-inch touchscreen display and interface make operation simple and intelligent. The FIWE Advance is provided with pre-installed methods that correspond to the official methods. You can create custom methods and select your own favorites for maximum convenience and speed.

The FIWE Advance allows the connection of a barcode reader to facilitate the management of information and avoid transcription errors. And by connecting its own scales, transferring the weight and calculating the results is quick and easy.

Maximum safety
The FIWE Advance ensures maximum safety for the operator, who no longer comes into contact with the vapors of the high-temperature reagents required for digestion.

All the necessary reagents are contained in transparent containers inside the device. The reagents are heated, dosed and delivered in advance thanks to a series of sensors and pumps, making it possible to direct the hot chemical products in each column without the operator coming into contact with the hot vapors. Each position has an LED light that indicates activity and facilitates the detection of residues.

Thanks to the Wi-Fi connection with the VELP Ermes cloud platform, you can monitor and control your analyses from a virtual cockpit wherever you are and whenever you need to.
