Safetybox gloveboxes function as a pass-through glovebox with HEPA filter and negative pressure. The air enters the housing via a replaceable HEPA filter and returns to the laboratory via two further HEPA filters or, if necessary, to the laboratory exhaust air system.

The SafetyBox™ is equipped with rounded inner edges all round to facilitate surface cleaning when working with highly effective powders.

Monitoring the air flow

The cabin uses a negative pressure environment to monitor the ventilation conditions to ensure that no airflow reaches the user, thereby guaranteeing safety.

Numerous variants possible

To adapt the system to your requirements. For example, side opening doors can be installed to allow additional access to the system, e.g. for maintenance work.

Security features

The integrated gloves and double waste bags ensure that no hazardous substances are carried out.

Materials

The base plate is made of black TRESPA, the body is made of high-quality acrylic glass. This means that no static electricity is generated and at the same time offers very good visibility. The material is 8 mm thick and resistant to chemicals. Various glove materials available.

FAQ

Which HEPA filter is used?

A filter with the classification HEPA H14 is used; a solvent filter can be used as an option.

How do I see if everything is working and I am protected?

A visual and audible alarm permanently indicates the protection status.

Does the safety box require maintenance?

According to legislation, you are obliged to have the filter integrity checked once a year. We will be happy to do this for you.

Who monitors compliance with safety regulations in the laboratory?

In Germany, the safety of laboratory employees is monitored by various authorities. The main authorities responsible for this are the trade supervisory offices and the occupational health and safety offices of the federal states.

Can I reduce my PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when working with the cabin?

This is theoretically possible, but should always be discussed with your security department.

Where is the filtered air directed?

There are various options for continuing the exhaust air from the cabin, for example recirculation mode or the optional option of transferring it to the house exhaust air.

What type of applications is the safety box suitable for?

Wherever hazardous substances have to be handled and/or weighed, where the application of these substances requires an appropriate, conditioned environment.

I have never worked with a safety box before. How can I learn how to use the cabin?

Once your cabin has been installed, our service team will be available to provide you with detailed product training. Most questions will arise during handling, so we will also be able to help you with any questions that arise at a later date – at your premises or flexibly via an online meeting.

What are the advantages of the a1 safety box?

How do I bring equipment into the cabin?

The front flap of the cabin allows a large opening so that you can easily place equipment in the cabin. Cleaning is also easy to carry out.

Does the cabin restrict my working ergonomics?

Of course, containment solutions mean restrictions, but our concepts offer you the maximum possible working ergonomics with the highest possible level of personal protection.
