Data processing for the provision of the Cookie Content Manager (hereinafter “CCM”)

Each time these web pages are accessed, requests are automatically made to web servers of Akamai International, BV as sub-processor of Usercentrics A/S, Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark (domains: consent.cookiesbot.com / consentcdn.cookiebot.com) so that the CCM can be provided or the requested files for the CCM can be delivered.

The legal basis for the personal data processing for the technical provision of the CCM & storage in the log files at the provider is Article 6 (1) sentence 1 letter f DSGVO.

3. Cookies

Cookies are small files that are automatically created and stored in the web browser of the end device of the website visitor in each case to a visited website. Cookies can, for example, store information about the preferred settings and / or to identify a website visitor a session ID, access data (user name / e-mail and password), etc..

As soon as you have made a selection in the CCM (agree or decline), this information is stored in a cookie (“CookieConsent”) so that the CCM is not displayed again each time you reload.

Insofar as personal data are processed by technically necessary cookies in the context of providing these Internet pages, Article 6(1) sentence 1 letter f DSGVO is the legal basis.

4. Contacting us

If you contact us (e.g. by e-mail, contact form), we will process your information insofar as this is necessary to answer your contact request and any requested measures (service, advice, training). The legal basis is Article 6 paragraph 1 sentence 1 letter b DSGVO.

Insofar as your contact request is neither necessary for the fulfilment of a contract with us nor for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, Article 6 (1) sentence 1 letter f DSGVO is the legal basis for the processing of your data. Our legitimate interest lies in conclusively processing the received message and contacting you externally.

We store your message until the processing is completed. Longer storage only takes place if we are entitled or obliged to do so in individual cases.

5. Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager

For statistical web analysis, we use the tracking tool “Google Analytics” by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

If you consent (Article 6(1)(a) DSGVO), server connections to the hosts at www.googletagmanager.com, www.google-analytics.com and region1.google-analytics.com respectively are established and the corresponding cookies are deposited: _ga; _ga_TMB9MGGQ0C

You can find out more about the storage period here: support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196

The cookies store information about your use of our website, campaign tracking – analysis of the visitor’s origin, screen resolution, frequency and time of visit, device and browser information (user agent), click paths, pages visited and time spent (session duration) on individual pages until page break, bounce rate. This allows us to better and more successfully create, control and evaluate visitor statistics.

Further information on the processing of personal data by Google can be found here:

policies.google.com/privacy

tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Furthermore, we use the Google Tag Manager on www.a1-envirosciences.com. This tool optimises the automated management of tags (e.g. third-party scripts) via a web interface: developers.google.com/tag-platform/tag-manager.

Google Tag Manager, just like Google Analytics, is provided by servers of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. If you consent (Article 6(1)(a) DSGVO), a request is made to Google LLC at “www.googletagmanager.com” so that the requested Google Tag Manager script can be delivered to you. For this technical delivery process, so-called “header request information” (IP address, user agent, etc.) must be temporarily processed, which Google LLC stores on its own responsibility in the log files of web servers. Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, D04 E5W5, Dublin, Ireland, is responsible for processing this data of persons who have their habitual residence in the European Economic Area or Switzerland. According to the assessment here, the processing of personal data in the USA cannot be ruled out in this context, as Google LLC has its headquarters in the USA. If, in order to provide the service, personal data relating to you has to be transferred to a third country without an adequacy decision (including the USA) and possibly without appropriate safeguards, your consent also includes these data transfers (Article 49(1)(a) of the GDPR). In the USA, there is an inadequate level of data protection (see ECJ, judgment of 16.7.2020 – C-311/18 [Facebook Ireland and Schrems], NJW 2020, 2613). There, data subject rights may not be effectively enforced, data may be exposed to access by foreign authorities without the data subject being informed and remedies before courts and authorities abroad may be unsuccessful. Further information is available here: policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks (13.02.2023).

Your consent is voluntary and can be revoked at any time. You can, among other things, click on the icon in the margin, switch off the service and save your selection.

6. LinkedIn

We maintain a page on LinkedIn. LinkedIn, a service of LinkedIn Corp, 1000 West Maude Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085 USA, is the best-known web-based and international social network for maintaining existing (permanent) contacts and making new business connections.

The data controller for data processing of individuals located in the EU is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland: “If you are located in the ‘Designated Countries’, LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company (“LinkedIn Ireland”) becomes the data controller for your personal data provided to, collected for, or processed by or in connection with our services”, en.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

We process data as soon as you contact us via LinkedIn.

If you visit LinkedIn, the data and information collected about you when using the service (including IP address, user agent, browsing history, location [geotargeting]) is processed by LinkedIn, for which LinkedIn uses cookies and other web tracking technologies. The recipient of this data is initially LinkedIn, where it may be shared with third parties for LinkedIn’s own purposes and under LinkedIn’s responsibility, as LinkedIn and its partners work together globally and use cookies, e.g. for statistics, personalisation, advertisements / offers / content tailored to you and profile building. You are free to visit our LinkedIn page and take further actions such as leaving comments or messages, contacting us or following our page. Alternatively, you can access all further information on our website.

7. Transfer of personal data to third countries or international organisations:

Google and LinkedIn are US corporations that have their servers spread all over the world, provide their services globally and process personal data worldwide, inter alia on servers in the US, with an insufficient or inadequate level of data protection in the US (see ECJ, judgment of 16.7.2020 – C-311/18 [Facebook Ireland and Schrems], NJW 2020, 2613). This does not change if the respective providers operate web servers in the EU, as the parent companies in the US have full access to the servers in the EU and the so-called CLOUD Act grants US authorities such access. Therefore, data subject rights may not be effectively enforced in recipient countries, data may be exposed to access by foreign authorities without the data subject being informed, and redress with courts and authorities abroad may be unsuccessful.  You can view the appropriate safeguards under Article 46 of the GDPR (EU standard contractual clauses) under the following links:

Google LLC: policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks

LinkedIn Corp.: www.linkedin.com/legal/l/eu-sccs, www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/62533

8. Your rights

In accordance with Article 15 of the GDPR, you have the right to request information about your personal data that we process.

If inaccurate personal data is processed, you have the right to rectification in accordance with Article 16 DSGVO.

If the legal requirements are met, you have the right to erasure or restriction of the processing of the data concerned (Article 17 and Article 18 DSGVO).

Under the conditions of Article 20, you have a right to data portability.

If we process your data on the basis of your consent, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation.

You have the right to object to the processing of your data based on Article 6(1) sentence 1 letter f DSGVO in accordance with Article 21 DSGVO. We will then no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

In accordance with Article 77(1) DSGVO, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: www.ldi.nrw.de/kontakt/ihre-beschwerde

We refrain from automated decision-making including profiling.
