Digestion Units

Sample preparation is a crucial part of the Kjeldahl analysis to obtain accurate and precise results. With the VELP DKL series of digesters, manual operations have been significantly decreased: lowering and lifting of the samples is fully automatic, as well as the separation between the test tubes and the suction cup.

DKL: Automatic, fast, safe and compact

The VELP DKL digesters consist of an aluminium heating block, a lift for automatic sample handling, suction hood, test tubes, test tube rack and drip tray, providing the operator with the ultimate technology allowing the lab technician to choose from a library of 54 programs (30 pre-installed + 24 customizable), press START and walk away, therefore dramatically increasing lab productivity.

VELP DKL digestors have an extremely fast aluminium heating block, capable of reaching 420°C in just 20 min with best-in-class temperature stability. The choice of premium materials and the powerful microprocessor, guarantee precise block temperature with an accuracy of ± 0.5°C.

We recommend that every digestor is combined with a method of removing the hazardous fumes created by the digestion process. Velp have a complete solution with the SMS scrubber and JP water vacuum pump.

The VELP SMS scrubber is a highly compact and efficient solution designed for the neutralization of toxic and corrosive fumes coming from digestion.

DK: Semi-Automatic Digestion Units

VELP DK digestion units consist of an aluminium heating block to offer high thermal homogeneity, heating up to 450 °C. The temperature of the block is constantly controlled by a microprocessor and is extremely stable, homogeneous, and precise: 0.5°C at all selectable temperatures.

All of the VELP DK units have very compact dimensions: the new aluminium heating block has been lowered as a consequence of the improved performance of the new series. The structure is manufactured from stainless steel, tested to ensure a strong resistance to chemical or mechanical agents.

The new bright digital display provides maximum visibility and easy reading of the information. The usage of the VELP digestion units is controlled by only 4 keys: allowing easy navigation through all the functions during programming or standard use.
