IE stands for Instrument Enclosure.

The IE is suitable for handling analytical equipment, pipetting robots, particle sizers, mills, grinders and much more, where the user must be protected from hazardous exposures. You can also carry out weighing processes in the cabin.

On the one hand, an IE offers a significantly larger volume (see picture below right) for the corresponding equipment, on the other hand it is designed for standing work.

A filter with the classification HEPA H14 is used; a solvent filter can be used as an option.

A visual and audible alarm permanently indicates the protection status.

Yes, we recommend changing the filter every 3 years at the latest. According to legislation, you are obliged to have the filter integrity checked once a year. We will be happy to do this for you.

The modular design of the weighing cabinet allows it to be positioned anywhere in the laboratory. Corresponding substructures are also available as an option.

In Germany, the safety of laboratory employees is monitored by various authorities. The main authorities responsible for this are the trade supervisory offices and the occupational health and safety offices of the federal states.

This is theoretically possible, but should always be discussed with your security department.

There are various options for continuing the exhaust air from the cabin, for example recirculation mode or the optional option of transferring it to the house exhaust air.

Yes, the cabins can be optionally equipped with amber light.

The front flap of the cabin allows a large opening so that you can easily place equipment in the cabin. Cleaning is also easy to carry out.
